‘COVID-19 Party’ with guests infected with coronavirus is false: CDMX Government

An alleged invitation to a party is circulating on social networks in which people with coronaviruses would also attend, with the purpose of infecting others and presumably generating “herd immunity”. The call for a supposed party in Las Águilas, to which people infected with coronavirus would be invited who in turn would infect others in the belief of generating what is known as ‘herd immunity’, is ‘fake news’, he assured the capital government. The head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, maintained that the call that has been disclosed by social networks has been investigated.

“Until now we know that it is ‘fake news’, fake news, but all the research is being done. Not even an address is established, it is only a WhatsApp message, by voice, which is circulating, but there is not even an address” , he pointed. “So it is a false news, but in any case we are there in the investigation that is required to be done so that this party does not take place, if it was intended to be carried out, but for now it is a false news like many others that have come out” he assured. An alleged invitation to a ‘COVID-19 party’ is circulating on social networks in which 100 attendees are suggested, including 25 infected by the virus but who are asymptomatic, in order to infect others and generate what is called ‘immunity of herd. ‘ Whitexicans have very strange logics that not even in Sweden would understand. “, pic.twitter.com / 17rHbCsT5U}
